Site Superintendent (Construction Division)- Alexandria, LA

Reports To: Operations Manager

As a Superintendent, you will be required to perform supervisory, administrative, problem solving and decision making duties as they relate to the project.

Duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Coordinating sub-contractors activities and monitoring all materials and equipment requirements
• Overseeing safety and environmental programs
• Completing all field documentation (employee timesheets, daily reports, safety reports, purchases, etc)
• Implementing and monitoring the Project Schedule
• Establish and implement policies and procedures for Quality control, Safety, and Infection Control
• Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress
• Monitor and maintain Construction Budget
• Organize and coordinate the work of craft employees on construction projects
• Keep cost records on work performed and materials
• Is responsible for the control of costs in materials and wages
• Inspects construction work to enforce conformity to specifications
• Handles inspections by government officials to verify code compliance
• Estimates materials needed for specific jobs; estimates manpower needed for specifcific jobs

Required Qualifications:

• Be able to read and understand blueprints and specifications
• Have knowledge of addendums, RFP’s and RFI’s
• Familiar with government projects a plus
• Functional literacy and mathematical skills
• Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines with a sense of urgency to help meet and maintain project schedules and bid deadlines
• Strong written and verbal skills are a must, as you will be required to communicate effectively with customers and vendors
• 5-10 years site supervision experience with a large projects ranging from $2-$20 million
• Strong computer and communication skills
• Flexibility to travel depending on the project
• Advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control, technical drawings and other documents
